Privacy Notice

Updated 31 October 2026

Who is responsible for your information

Bidco Synergy Limited is the data controller for information collected through bidco.com.ng. This notice explains our website processing under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 and applicable Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC) guidance. Contact legacy@bidco.com.ng, with “Privacy request” in the subject, for questions or to exercise your rights.

Information we collect

When you enquire, we collect the name, email address, optional phone number, enquiry type, selected project and message you provide. Appointment requests may include your preferred date and time. The website stores the enquiry and may send a notification to the Bidco team. Our hosting and email systems also process technical data such as IP addresses, browser details, request times and security or delivery logs. Basic anti-spam controls use a short-lived keyed identifier derived from an IP address; enquiry-storage and server logs may separately contain the IP address.

Please do not submit identity documents, bank details, health information or other sensitive personal data through the general enquiry form. Required fields are needed to handle the request; optional fields can be left blank. Without sufficient contact information, we may be unable to reply.

Why we use information and our lawful bases

  • To respond to property, service and appointment requests, including steps you request before entering a contract. General correspondence that is not a contractual request is handled for our legitimate interest in answering business enquiries, subject to your rights.
  • To protect the website, prevent spam, diagnose failures and maintain reliable services, for our legitimate interests in security and operation, balanced against your rights.
  • To meet applicable legal obligations or establish, exercise or defend legal claims where necessary.
  • To load an optional external map only when you choose to do so. Any future direct marketing or non-essential tracking requires a separate appropriate consent choice; submitting an enquiry is not a marketing subscription.

Appointment requests are not confirmed bookings. This website does not make decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects about you solely by automated processing.

Who may receive information

Access is limited to authorised Bidco personnel and service providers supporting website hosting, maintenance, security and email delivery where needed for those services. Information may also be disclosed where lawfully required or necessary for legal claims. We do not sell enquiry contact lists. External services you choose to open have their own privacy notices.

External services and international processing

Interactive Google Maps is optional and remains unloaded until you select Load map. Loading it sends technical information, including your IP address, to Google and may allow Google cookies. You can remove a loaded map using its Remove map control. External Instagram, map-direction and other links connect to those services when followed. See our Cookies & External Services notice.

Hosting, email or external-service providers may process information outside Nigeria. Where a transfer takes place, the applicable legal requirements and transfer safeguards must be met, including adequacy, appropriate safeguards or a permitted exception as applicable. Contact us for information about the arrangements applying to your enquiry.

How long information is kept

We retain enquiry information only for the period needed to respond, manage requested follow-up and meet applicable legal or claims-related requirements. Where pre-contract due diligence does not result in a contract, applicable NDPC guidance requires destruction within six months unless there is a justifiable ground to archive the information for a future legal claim. Information forming part of a contract or legal matter follows the requirements for that matter. Security logs and backups must be limited to their operational and recovery purposes; retained copies remain protected and are not a basis for unrelated marketing. Contact us to ask about the period applying to your information.

Your data protection rights

Subject to applicable conditions and exceptions, you may request access and a copy of your information, correction, erasure, restriction, portability, or object to processing, including direct marketing. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing. You may also request human intervention where applicable to significant solely automated decisions. We may ask for proportionate information to verify your identity; do not email identity documents unless a secure method has been agreed.

You can contact us using the address above. You also have the right to lodge a complaint directly with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission; contacting Bidco first is not a condition of that right.

Security, children and updates

We use access controls and private administration to help protect enquiry records. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. This website is intended for adult property and business enquiries and does not invite children to submit personal information. Contact us if a child has submitted information so it can be addressed under applicable requirements. Material changes to this notice will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
